Schedule/Hours:
- Days: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
- On-call rotation: 8-10 days/month, 1-2 weekends/month
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Current clinical knowledge and skills tailored to the Cath Lab setting
- Sensitivity to patient rights and effective communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and prioritize care according to individualized needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evolving patient conditions
- Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge instructions
- Perform point-of-care testing and ensure thorough documentation
- Delegate and coordinate team assignments, promoting an environment of support and collaboration
- Act as a resource for patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining professionalism and approachability
- Adhere to hospital policies, participate in staff orientation, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
