Schedule/Hours:
- Travel role; flexible contracts based on assignment needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments for patients scheduled for catheterization or electrophysiology interventions
- Manage vascular access and implant sites, including radial, femoral, internal jugular, and device pockets
- Safely administer prescribed medications
- Assist with patient care during cardioversions
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret ECGs
- Deliver detailed post-procedural education as part of discharge planning
Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- Proven experience in a cardiac catheterization lab (Cath Lab) or similar acute/critical care cardiac setting
- Strong IV and vascular access skills
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Demonstrated ability to educate patients and families in a post-procedure setting
- Previous travel nursing experience is an asset, but not required
