Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting cardiovascular health in a high-acuity environment specializing in catheterization procedures. This contract opportunity is tailored for registered nurses experienced in the Cath Lab, offering a dynamic pace and a collaborative setting focused on advanced patient care.

Schedule:

  • One weekend of call coverage per month
  • Weekday call responsibility 4-5 days per pay period (weekend call included in total allocation)
  • Call shifts: End of shift to 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, per scheduled call
  • Weekend call: End of shift Friday to 7:30 a.m. Monday

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with current good standing
  • Proven clinical experience in a Cath Lab or similar high-acuity cardiac setting
  • Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, vascular access, and medication management during cardiac procedures
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, technologists, and support staff
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide proficient intervention as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on procedure details, post-procedure expectations, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain the integrity of electronic health records and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
