Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab environment
- Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to monitor, assess, and intervene during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Proficient in assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cases
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor hemodynamic status, recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Prepare and administer medications as per protocol
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring proper technique and equipment handling
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Document patient status, interventions, and procedural details accurately and promptly
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and home care
- Participate actively in emergency response situations within the Cath Lab
