This dynamic role supports a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in cardiac care and procedural recovery. The schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts each week, providing consistency and a work-life balance. Candidates must be available for on-call duties 1-2 nights per week, as well as one weekend every 46 weeks.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid and active California RN license at time of application
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- At least 1 year in ICU, ER, or PACU settings
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Previous supervisory or higher-level references, provided at time of submission
- Open to first-time travelers with the needed background
- No pending licenses will be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert, compassionate nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac and electrophysiology procedures, including recovery for cardiac caths, PCIs, PFOs, CTOs, and EP procedures such as pacemaker, BiV, AICD, and Cryo insertions
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and recovery
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
- Respond to on-call needs as scheduled
- Engage in collaborative communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in ongoing professional development
