Schedule/Hours:
- 0700-1730
- Weekend and night call required
Qualifications:
- Active NY RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years experience in cath lab, procedural, or sedation nursing
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and intervention skills during invasive cardiac procedures
- Experience managing patients under sedation and administering medications
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, monitoring, and interventions during cardiac procedures such as left/right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, and more
- Serve as a key member of the Emergency On Call (STEMI) Team
- Administer oral and intravenous medications
- Monitor and support patients under sedation, watching for adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families about post-procedure care and lifestyle considerations
- Maintain accurate documentation including consents, charting, labs, and procedural data
- Collaborate closely with allied health professionals
