Job Description
Step into a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab environment, providing critical patient care within a renowned, multi-campus healthcare system. This contract role is centered on delivering expertise in interventional cardiac procedures, utilizing leading-edge technology and supported by an experienced interdisciplinary team.
Schedule:
- 4 ten-hour shifts (7:00AM 7:00PM)
- Rotating call required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license required
- Must hold RCIS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Cath Lab setting
- Advanced Electrophysiology (EP) experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in procedures such as right and left heart catheterization (diagnostic and intervention), as well as peripheral diagnostic and intervention
- Experience with GE lab equipment, Impella, Balloon Pump, Penumbra, IVUS
- Familiarity with Merge Hemo documentation system
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly provide nursing care in a high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab
- Manage multiple, complex clinical cases and participate in diagnostic/interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures
- Oversee patient assessments and responses to care using critical thinking and clinical expertise
- Rotate on-call coverage as required; may provide support at nearby sister hospital for STEMI cases
- Practice in alignment with unit-specific guidelines, policies, and best practices
- Collaborate with physicians, unit secretaries, and technical staff for seamless patient experiences
