• Valid certification as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist

• Minimum of one year recent experience in an OR setting
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and aseptic practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical equipment and supplies
• Assist the surgical team throughout procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring sterile technique at all times
• Monitor patients vital signs, document surgical activities, and provide direct support to surgeons and nurses as directed
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines
• Safely handle specimens and instruments, ensuring accurate documentation and distribution
• Participate in room turnover and post-operative cleaning, preparing the OR for subsequent cases
