In this contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring optimal patient care through high-level technical and clinical support during surgical procedures. Your focus will be on upholding quality standards and providing seamless intraoperative assistance to both surgeons and fellow team members.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with flexible scheduling based on department needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical cases, maintaining a sterile field and assisting with the setup of instruments and supplies
• Assist the surgical team by retracting tissue, passing instruments, and supplying necessary medications during procedures
• Support intraoperative patient care, ensuring procedures proceed efficiently and safely
• Maintain and track surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring readiness for each procedure
• Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards at all times
• Collaborate closely with all operating room staff to ensure optimal workflow

Qualifications:

• Experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Solid understanding of aseptic technique and sterilization processes
• Knowledge of operating room protocols, equipment, and instruments
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
• Certification as a surgical technologist or equivalent training preferred
