Work within a dynamic environment at a hospital with 341 beds and a bustling surgical services department, featuring 8 main campus operating rooms and an additional 4 in the ambulatory center. Exposure to a trauma level 3 setting allows you to learn from a range of experienced professionals, foster new skills, and further elevate your career. Engage in best practices with Epic documentation, experience varied leadership approaches, and enhance your adaptability by rotating throughout different units and cases.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift: 0700-1930
- 12-hour shifts, rotating days
- On call 1 night/week; every 3rd-4th weekend, and 1 holiday/year if needed
Qualifications:
- Active NY nursing license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience, with 2 years in surgical services/OR
- Previous travel experience and teaching hospital experience preferred, not required
- Circulating skills required; scrub experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Circulate in the OR for a broad patient population (6 months to 100+ years)
- Engage in comprehensive patient care modalities and protocols
- Document thoroughly within EPIC
- Float to ambulatory surgery center as scheduled
- Participate in starting IVs, patient transports, and interdepartmental workflows
