Working in this dynamic surgical services environment, youll expand your expertise as part of a team supporting a state-of-the-art operating suite. This setting offers an immersive experience with diverse case mixes spanning ages 6 months to 100+, and the chance to work alongside talented colleagues from various specialties. Exposure to multiple leadership styles and workplace practices in a teaching hospital environment is an excellent way to cultivate your skillset, augment your resume, and foster both personal and professional growth.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 am 7:30 pm; rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts
  • On-call every 3rd or 4th weekend; 1 night per week on-call
  • One holiday per year, if not prescheduled

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NY nursing license required
  • BLS required; other certifications preferred
  • 2+ years clinical experience, including at least 2 years in surgical services/OR
  • Prior travel and teaching hospital experience a plus
  • Circulating required; scrub experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC documentation and medication systems

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate for a broad spectrum of surgeries (excluding cardiac, transplant, neuro, or gastric bypass)
  • Assist with IV starts and patient transport
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesia and respiratory support
  • Float to ASC as needed, based on rotation and experience
  • Maintain high standards for infection control, dress code, and documentation
