This full-time travel assignment will expose you to a broad spectrum of cases, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental procedures. You'll collaborate with seasoned surgical teams, build expertise in diverse specialty practices, and gain valuable insights into various leadership and patient care approaches. Not only will your technical skills be sharpened, but your resume will also stand out, reflecting high adaptability and experience at the cutting edge of surgical technology.

Outside of work, you'll have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty and cultural gems of the area, turning your downtime into memorable adventures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am 3:30 pm (may start as early as 6:00 am, depending on case load)
  • On-call rotation: approximately 1 night per two-week pay period, plus every 5th or 6th weekend
  • Holiday call rotation included

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred
  • Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental
  • American Heart Association BLS required
  • State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training
  • Must be able to stay within 30 minutes of the location when on call

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms and sterile fields
  • Assist with a wide variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
  • Support surgeons and nursing staff efficiently and safely
  • Maintain sharp attention to detail and adhere to protocols
