Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT or CST)
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
- Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of surgical instruments and procedures
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization processes, and infection control
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- BLS certification required
- Previous experience in an operating room or surgical setting preferred
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, contract assignment
- Shifts and scheduling details to be discussed during interview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are present, properly set up, and sterile
- Assist the surgical team with gowning, gloving, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures
- Handle and pass surgical instruments to the surgeon with precision and efficiency
- Safeguard all specimens and supplies, ensuring accurate labeling and delivery
- Provide meticulous attention to infection prevention throughout the perioperative process
- Work collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to deliver seamless patient care
- Support equipment troubleshooting and promptly report any concerns
- Participate in room turnover and post-procedure clean-up

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
