A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY, is seeking Certified Surgical Technologists with extensive operating room experience to support their evening shifts in a busy Downtown Adult OR. This contract role requires professionals skilled in managing a variety of surgical procedures in a high-acuity environment.

This position demands a minimum of three years of recent experience within the last four years at a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or a comparable acute care hospital setting. Candidates must have hands-on scrub experience in general surgery and specialty areas such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, genitourinary, and gynecology cases. Familiarity with trauma and orthopedic cases is particularly important. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour evening shifts, offering coverage across a rotating schedule to meet the demands of the unit.

Responsibilities include preparing and managing sterile surgical instruments, assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols, and effectively communicating within multidisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to perform with minimal orientation and supervision in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Certified Surgical Technologist with valid certification
• At least 3 years of recent operating room experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or similar acute care facility within the last 4 years
• Proficiency in a wide range of surgical specialties including trauma, ortho, general surgery, ENT, vascular, and gynecology
• Experience working with adult and pediatric populations in high-acuity settings
• No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
• Ability to pass pre-employment health screening

Schedule/Hours:

• Evening shifts
• Mix of 4 eight-hour and 4 twelve-hour shifts rotating
• Shift times include: 07:0015:30, 11:0019:30, 15:0023:30, 07:0019:30, 11:0023:30
