An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Surgical Technician to support operating room functions in a busy hospital setting. This contract position is located in Sunnyvale, CA, offering a dynamic environment with a team-focused culture and exposure to a broad range of surgical procedures. Candidates must meet specific certification and experience requirements to be considered.
Qualifications
- Completion of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pass CST exam mandatory
- Experience in an operating room setting highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in perioperative procedures including neuro, spine, total joint replacement, gastric sleeves, general surgery, ENT, pediatric, and urology cases
- Operate and handle perioperative equipment according to hospital policies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, techs, and surgeons to ensure quality patient care
- Participate in rotating weekend and on-call schedules
- Adhere to hospital dress code (scrubs provided) and unit policies
