An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) with a background in Level 1 trauma settings. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by assisting with surgical procedures and supporting critical care teams.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift, 6:45am to 5:15pm
• Includes call rotation, holidays, and weekends
• No block scheduling

Qualifications:

• Current certification and licensure as required for ORT practice
• Minimum of 2 years of recent and strong Level 1 trauma operating room experience, clearly outlined in employment history
• Demonstrated proficiency reflected by a high rating on a skills checklist
• Experience working with diverse surgical specialties in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize in stressful, emergent situations
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field according to accepted protocols
• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures
• Ensure specimen and supply integrity throughout procedures
• Maintain effective communication with nursing staff, surgeons, and anesthesia providers
• Strictly adhere to infection control and safety guidelines at all times
• Collaborate in the postoperative care and transfer of patients as needed
• Demonstrate flexibility by participating in call, holiday, and weekend rotations
