Job Description

Highly skilled surgical professionals are needed to support critical procedures in a dynamic operating room environment. In this important role, youll collaborate closely with surgeons and perioperative teams, ensuring optimal intraoperative conditions and patient safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification and/or experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintaining aseptic technique and sterile fields
  • Skilled in handling and passing surgical instruments, retractors, sutures, and supplies during procedures
  • Familiarity with the preparation, operation, and cleaning of surgical equipment
  • Ability to function well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset and proven teamwork capabilities

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract roledetails to be provided during interview process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgical teams with set-up and organization of the operating room ahead of scheduled cases
  • Prepare equipment, instruments, and sterile fields in accordance with protocol
  • Pass instruments, sponges, and other supplies safely and efficiently to surgeons
  • Maintain inventory and ensure all necessary supplies are available for each procedure
  • Monitor and uphold sterile technique throughout the case
  • Participate in intraoperative patient care and collaborate with team members to ensure best patient outcomes
  • May support related inpatient or outpatient services and operating room support functions
