Key Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience as an OR Tech, preferably in acute care or hospital settings
  • Current and active BLS certification
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
  • Strong understanding of surgical aseptic techniques, instrumentation, and patient safety protocols
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure and anticipate team needs in the operating suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers

Schedule:

  • Contract position; specific shift details to be discussed during the interview process

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure supplies, instruments, and equipment are sterile and ready for each case
  • Work alongside surgeons and nursing staff to provide technical assistance throughout surgical procedures
  • Maintain the highest standards of infection control, safety, and documentation
  • Support patient care by ensuring proper handling of specimens, counting instruments, and managing surgical equipment
  • Assist with turnover and preparation between cases to optimize OR workflow
