By working as an Operating Room Technologist (ORT) in this dynamic environment, you'll have the chance to broaden your expertise through exposure to diverse surgical cases, advanced technology such as the Da Vinci robotic system, and first-hand collaboration with respected surgical teams. Schedule:
- 10-hour Day/Evening shifts: Start times vary (0700, 0900, 1100, 1300, 1500)
- Weekend and holiday shifts as required
- Floating within OR as needed
- No on-call obligations
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification (required at submission)
- Minimum 2+ years recent surgical tech experience
- Proficiency in EPIC and general OR skillsets, including Da Vinci robotics
- Preferred background in Ortho (total joints and trauma), neuro, peripheral vascular, CV, and total joint support
- Ability to adapt to varying surgical specialties
- New graduates not accepted for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team efficiently and safely in diverse OR procedures
- Prepare and maintain operating room instrumentation and supplies
- Proactively support and anticipate the needs of surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers
- Float to other OR assignments within the department as required
