Key Qualifications:

• Current nursing license (active and in good standing)
• Proven experience in the Operating Room Technician (ORT) role, preferably in a hospital or surgical center
• In-depth understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and procedures
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic settings
• BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff with instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, instruments, and sharps
• Ensure patient safety protocols are followed throughout procedures
• Collaborate with perioperative team to optimize workflow and patient care
• Support post-operative care as needed and participate in team briefings
