Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Specialized nursing background with ORT (Operating Room Technician) skills
- Proven ability as a Surgical Technologist, demonstrating familiarity with a wide range of surgical procedures
- Experience assembling and verifying sterile instruments and supplies
- Competence in anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining surgical counts
- Commitment to the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety
Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, effectively solving problems in real-time and verifying physician preference cards
- Manage and prepare supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is properly assembled, cleaned, sterilized, and in working order
- Maintain sterile environments, diligently monitoring the sterile field and identifying any breaks in technique
- Set up the sterile field efficiently, accurately track all medications, instruments, sponges, and sharps, and ensure compliance with facility policy
