Step into a vital healthcare role supporting surgical teams by providing essential technical assistance in the operating room. This position focuses on delivering high-quality care and maintaining patient safety during all phases of surgery. As a key member of the surgical team, youll collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to ensure procedures run smoothly and efficiently.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with flexible shifts based on surgical department needs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Previous experience as a Nursing ORT or Certified Surgical Technologist strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly in high-pressure situations
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields before and during surgical procedures
• Select and pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team
• Assist with gowning and gloving of surgical staff
• Monitor equipment and keep accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and needles
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and protocols
• Support patient safety and advocate for best outcomes throughout all surgical processes
• Contribute to preoperative setup and postoperative room turnover

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
