Professional growth is central to this role, giving you the chance to work alongside a variety of healthcare professionals and experience a range of surgical specialties. You'll learn from different leadership styles and organizational approaches, broadening your expertise and adaptability in dynamic care settings.

Schedule:

  • Five 8-hour shifts weekly
  • 12 call nights per week
  • 12 weekend 24-hour call shifts as scheduled
  • Full-time hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and care of pre-operative patients, ensuring aseptic techniques and patient safety.
  • Set up and maintain the operating room, manage instruments, supplies, and ensure a sterile field at all times.
  • Proficiently scrub in at least three specialty areas (highly preferred), including robotics, neurology, open heart, and more.
  • Support patient comfort, privacy, and transportation to/from the OR suite.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and participate in team planning and execution.
  • Monitor strict adherence to universal precautionary and sanitation protocols.
  • Float to other departments as necessary for well-rounded surgical experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or LVN/LPN program
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • Valid Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license required
  • Minimum two years of experience preferred
