Certified Surgical Technician Operating Room Team Member
Location: Rowe, NM (Contract Position)

This role is essential to the surgical services team, providing critical support throughout surgeries by preparing and managing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting surgeons in the operating room. The position requires dedication, precision, and knowledge of surgical technology to ensure smooth and safe procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and equipment prior to operations
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating their needs
• Handle sterilization, cleansing, and care of surgical tools
• Comply with infection control and safety protocols including Universal Precautions
• Communicate effectively with surgical team members and adhere to clinical policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Surgical Technician certification from AHA required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital operating room or surgical instrument care environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of instrument handling, sterilization processes, and OR protocols
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Physical stamina to perform duties that involve standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods

Schedule:

• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
