Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician with strong expertise in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. This contract position is located in Round Rock, TX, at a high-volume medical center known for advanced surgical care. The role requires an experienced professional who can efficiently manage the fast-paced demands of a busy OR environment without the need for extensive onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently support cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries with precision and expertise.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure smooth procedure flow.
  • Participate in call coverage, including after-hours and weekends, to support the service line.
  • Maintain readiness to adapt shifts based on departmental needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician (CVOR CST) in a high-volume hospital setting.
  • Proven proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
  • Ability to function independently in a demanding surgical environment.
  • Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM on weekdays.
  • Participation in call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends.
