As a Certified Surgical Technologist with a specialty in Cardiovascular Operative Room (CVOR/Open Heart), youll engage with a diverse array of surgical procedures, from robotics and spine to open heart and vascular cases. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CSTs to build their skillset, collaborate with a high-caliber surgical team, and learn new technology and EMR systems such as EPIC. Through exposure to different leadership styles and robust supporting staff, youll gain insights and workplace practices that elevate your resume and career trajectory.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 AM 5:30 PM, Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday through Friday, with rotating day off)
- Weekday and weekend call rotation required
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Valid NBSTSA CST certification and BLS
- Solid background in OR procedures; experience with CVOR/Open Heart preferred
- Robotics training and vascular surgery experience are a plus
- Positive, proactive, adaptable attitude; strong anticipation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, spine, neuro, GYN, ENT, urology, podiatry, and complex vascular/open heart cases
- Prepare OR suites and maintain sterility with advanced equipment
- Anticipate surgeon needs, ensuring seamless, patient-focused care
- Participate in call rotations and adapt to dynamic scheduling requirements
