This opportunity focuses on a vital role assisting in the operating room to support surgical procedures by working closely with surgical technologists, registered nurses, and surgeons. The position plays a critical part in preparing the surgical environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready and functioning properly. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the surgical suite by gathering necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Confirm availability and proper functioning of all surgical materials prior to procedures
  • Assist the surgeon with positioning, draping, retracting, suctioning, sponging, tissue handling, cautery techniques, stapling devices, and suturing
  • Apply appropriate dressing materials post-procedure specific to the surgery performed
  • Collaborate effectively with the operating room team to ensure smooth procedure flow
  • Assist in transportation, positioning, and total care of patients as needed
