Support a multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to caring for pediatric patients throughout their surgical journeys. This contract role is ideal for Certified Surgical Technicians or those meeting New York State Public Health Law 2824 grandfathering requirements, bringing expertise in a variety of specialties such as general surgery, urology, dental, oral and maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, plastics, burns, ENT, and orthopedics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff in the operating room during pediatric procedures.
- Perform both scrub and circulating duties.
- Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols in the operating theater.
- Contribute to patient care across a broad spectrum of pediatric surgical specialties.
Qualifications:
- Possess a current New York State Tech License.
- Minimum of two years of operating room experience; experience in a Level 1 trauma center is highly desirable.
- At least two years of pediatric surgical experience is preferred.
- Maintain a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work efficiently both scrubbing and circulating during surgeries.
