Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract position is suited for experienced surgical assistants with solid expertise across orthopedic, neuro, ENT, and robotics procedures. Youll collaborate closely with skilled clinical staff, ensuring optimal patient care throughout each stage of surgery.

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week initial assignment
• 40 hours per week
• 12-hour day shifts with call
• Minimum 1-2 on-call shifts per week and one 24-hour weekend call per month
• Start dates available every other Monday (e.g., 4/6 or 4/20)
• Call details: Option 1 (5pm-7am) and Option 2 (5pm-7:30pm), depending on weekly needs
• Flexibility to float to nearby network facilities

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a surgical assistant/surgical first assistant
• Current BLS certification
• Certified NBSTSA CSFA credential required
• Demonstrated abilities in ortho, neuro, ENT, and robotic surgeries
• Willing to adapt to variable scheduling and take call as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance in the operating room during surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and operative team
• Ensure instruments and equipment are available and properly handled
• Float to other network facilities as assigned for coverage

• Scrub attire: Hunter Green (not provided on site)
• Support from additional clinical leadership during 24-hour weekend shifts
