Job Description

Deliver skilled surgical care as a Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) in a dynamic surgical environment. This contracted opportunity offers the chance to play a key support role in a multidisciplinary operating room team, ensuring patient safety and the highest standards of perioperative care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
  • Proficiency in operating room techniques and aseptic practices
  • Demonstrated experience assisting in surgical procedures across various specialties
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to handle instruments, supplies, and equipment with precision and care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current or willing to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a hospital OR setting is preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterilized and ready for procedures
  • Assist the surgical team during operations, anticipating needs and providing appropriate instruments and materials
  • Accurately count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgical procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Support room turnover and instrument reprocessing between cases
  • Document procedures and patient information promptly and accurately
  • Coordinate with circulating nurses and other team members to facilitate seamless surgical workflow

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
