Expand your resume through direct engagement in a busy OR environment with both main and ambulatory surgery centers (8 ORs main campus, 4 ORs ASC), caring for a patient population ranging from 6 months to over 100 years, and supporting a wide spectrum of surgical cases.
Schedule/Hours:
- 07:0019:30
- Rotating days off with 12-hour shifts
- On-call one night per week
- On-call every 3rd to 4th weekend
- One holiday on-call per year (if unassigned)
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in Surgical/OR nursing
- Active NY nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (additional certifications preferred)
- Prior teaching hospital and travel experience valued but not required
- Ability to circulate is required; scrub experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate in the OR; scrub as needed
- Use EPIC for documentation and medication administration
- Collaborate with OR aides, surgical assists, scrub techs, and RNs (staff of 30)
- Assist with patient start IVs, transports, and surgical processes
- Float to Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) as required
- Adhere to all dress code and infection control protocols
- Participate in efficient case scheduling and on-call rotations
