An opportunity is available for a skilled surgical technologist with specialized experience in cardiovascular operating rooms. This role focuses on CVOR procedures, requiring proficiency in scrub techniques and comprehensive knowledge of cardiac surgical protocols. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cardiovascular operating room procedures using advanced scrub techniques.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to universal protocols, including surgical timeouts.
  • Apply radiation, laser, and fire safety standards during surgical interventions.
  • Correctly label and handle surgical specimens.
  • Perform sterilization and disinfection of instruments and work areas.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, covering two nights per week and every third weekend.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possession of a technical diploma specifically from a recognized Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) program; formal education is mandatory.
  • Current NBSTSA certification related to CVOR.
  • Minimum of two years hands-on experience in cardiovascular OR settings.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to function competently in a high-pressure surgical environment.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Day shift, Monday through Friday.
  • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • On-call assignments include two evenings weekly and weekend rotation every third weekend.
