This role as a traveling Surgical Technologist promises exposure to a wide array of specialties and the opportunity to hone your skills in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, and dental procedures. Schedule:

• Primarily 8-hour shifts, Monday Friday: 7:00 am 3:30 pm (occasional early starts possible)
• On-call rotation: approximately 1 night every two-week pay period, and every 5th to 6th weekend
• Holiday call rotation included

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
• Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, and dental cases
• State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Ability to stay within 30 minutes of the hospital while on-call

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available
• Work closely with surgeons and the OR team to anticipate needs during procedures
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and infection control
• Participate in on-call and holiday rotation as scheduled
