An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Surgical Assistant/Surgical First Assistant with a strong background in orthopedic, neuro, and ENT procedures, as well as expertise in robotics. This contract position offers the chance to contribute your skills to a dynamic operating room environment, working closely with surgical teams on a variety of advanced cases.

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract with potential for extension
• 40 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Variable days off
• 12 on-call shifts per week, plus one 24-hour call shift per month (weekend)
• Call Options: 5:00 pm7:00 am or 5:00 pm7:30 pm, depending on weekly scheduling needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an ORT or Surgical First Assistant
• Current BLS certification
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or NBSTSA certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT procedures, and robotics
• Willingness to float to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced settings

Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical assistance in the operating room across a range of specialties, with emphasis on ortho, neuro, ENT, and robotic procedures
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient care and safety
• Maintain a sterile field and uphold the highest standards of infection control
• Participate in on-call rotation and adjust to variable scheduling demands
• Support seamless case turnover and assist with procedure preparation as required
