Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment; schedule details to be provided upon interview
Qualifications:
- Active Nursing license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
- Certification or experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- BLS certification required
- Prior operating room experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new work environments and surgical teams
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical staff throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies, anticipating the needs of the surgical team
- Collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to facility policies
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices
