Located in the charming community of Morrisonville, NY, this travel nursing opportunity offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of upstate New York. You will be placed in a dynamic operating room environment within a surgical unit that features both Main Campus and Ambulatory Surgery Center ORs. As part of an experienced surgical team, you will have the chance to collaborate with diverse professionals, strengthen your clinical and leadership skills, and gain exposure to innovative workplace practicesall of which will add meaningful value to your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift: 0700-1930
- Rotation schedule, rotating days off with other staff working 12-hour shifts
- On call: One night per week
- On call every third to fourth weekend
- Holiday: On call for up to one holiday per year
Responsibilities:
- Circulate in operating room procedures (scrub experience highly preferred)
- Provide care for patients ranging from 6 months to over 100 years old, with all surgeries except for cardiac, transplants, neuro, and gastric bypass
- Support other duties, such as starting IVs and patient transport if needed
- Float between Main Campus and Ambulatory Surgery Center as scheduled
- Ensure compliance with dress code and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in nursing, plus 2 years in the operating room specialty
- Active NY nursing license and current BLS certification required
- Prior travel and teaching hospital experience not mandatory
- EPIC documentation experience a plus
- Scrub experience preferred, but not required
