Advance your nursing career with an exciting contract opportunity in the operating room. This role calls for an experienced Operating Room Technician with robust skills in a high-acuity environment. You'll play a key part in supporting surgical teams and ensuring excellence in patient care at a well-regarded facility.

Schedule:

• Day shift: 6:45 am 5:15 pm
• Includes participating in call rotations
• Some holidays and weekends are required
• No block scheduling available

Required Qualifications:

• Current experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Minimum of 2 years strong, recent overall Level 1 trauma experience (must be reflected in work history)
• Outstanding ratings on a nursing skills checklist
• Ability to perform confidently in rapidly changing, high-stress surgical environments
• Valid professional licensure/certification as required
• Detail-oriented team player with strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Support surgeons and RNs throughout operative procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating needs
• Assist with setup and breakdown of operating rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are prepared and accounted for
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
• Respond promptly to trauma cases, emergency situations, and handle multiple cases efficiently
• Foster a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating flexibility for varying shifts and case types
• Accurately document procedures and maintain up-to-date patient records
