Step into a crucial nursing support role where your expertise in the operating room is essential. This opportunity offers a dynamic environment in a leading healthcare facility, catering to diverse surgical teams and high-acuity scenarios. The contract position is ideal for a professional Surgical Technologist (ORT) eager to put advanced skills to the test in a Level 1 Trauma setting.

Schedule:

• Shift: 6:45 AM 7:15 PM
• Includes call, weekends, and holiday coverage
• No block scheduling

Qualifications:

• Completed training as an Operating Room/Surgical Technologist (ORT)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma operating room
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Strong skill ratings and clinical references
• Burn care experience preferred, though not mandatory
• Proven ability to adapt to fast-changing environments
• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
• Active, unencumbered state or compact licensure
• BLS certification required; additional ACLS/PALS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support throughout perioperative procedures for a wide spectrum of surgical cases
• Collaborate closely with RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Efficiently prepare, set up, and maintain sterile fields in high-pressure settings
• Demonstrate quick thinking and composure during trauma and emergency cases
• Assist with equipment and instrument sterilization, monitoring, and tracking
• Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety protocols
