A specialized role is available for experienced Operating Room professionals with a strong background in robotics nursing (DaVinci XI) and surgical tech responsibilities. This contract opportunity is based in Luxemburg, WI, within a hospital that operates a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III NICU among its 19 OR suites. Experience across multiple surgical specialties is essential, including ENT, neuro, orthopedics, urology, plastics, bariatrics, and gynecology procedures.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; first-time travelers considered upon review
- Robotics expertise with DaVinci XI system mandatory
- Certifications: RN with BLS, CST with BLS for scrub techs; anesthesia techs must hold BLS
- Ability to circulate, assist with intubation/extubation, patient positioning, and sterile processing
- Skilled in neuro and orthopedic surgeries, along with ENT, minor vascular, and endovascular cases
Responsibilities:
- Circulate and assist in various surgeries, including robotic cases
- Assist with patient positioning and support intubation/extubation processes
- Perform ancillary duties such as room turnover, supply management, and equipment safety checks
- Float between the main OR and east side OR within the same facility, with rare assignments to an offsite surgery center
- Collaborate with charge nurses who support weekdays only; no call required
- Utilize EMR (EPIC), medication dispensing systems (Pyxis), and Alaris IV pumps efficiently
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Primarily weekdays with some holiday and occasional weekend shifts; no on-call requirements
- Shift schedule and rotation to be discussed upon start
- Two 8-hour orientation shifts provided onsite
- Free parking available on site
