In this contract opportunity, you will play a key role in the operating room, assisting the surgical team throughout a variety of procedures and contributing to optimal outcomes for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of a sterile field for all surgical cases.
• Support surgeons by retracting and passing instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after cases.
• Maintain accurate inventory and organization of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Provide intraoperative patient care as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Collaborate with perfusion, inpatient, outpatient, and operating room support functions, as needed.
• Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices at all times.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing with a focus on Operating Room Technician (ORT) duties.
• Current, valid certification or licensure as required by discipline.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating room workflow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a variety of surgical specialties.
