The position specifically seeks candidates with experience in transplant or spine procedures.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
- Includes night and weekend call
Key Qualifications:
- Active DORA (Division of Professions and Occupations) certification
- Current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
- Demonstrated experience in operating room settings, particularly in transplant or spine surgery
- Proven ability to maintain a sterile field and support a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for both routine and specialized surgical cases
- Assist surgeons and registered nurses during procedures, especially complex transplant or spine operations
- Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and adherence to infection control protocols
- Accommodate urgent cases by being responsive to night and weekend call requirements
- Keep accurate records of instruments, supplies, and patient care activities during surgical procedures
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to deliver seamless patient care
