Qualifications/Requirements:

• Current ORT certification with completion of an accredited program
• Proven experience in an operating room setting, supporting surgical procedures
• In-depth knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative protocols
• Strong communication abilities and professionalism, especially when working under pressure
• Commitment to upholding patient privacy, facility policies, and professional conduct at all times
• Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract position
• Shift details and scheduling discussed during the interview process

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and operating room environments for procedures
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists throughout operative cases
• Demonstrate expert maintenance of aseptic technique and patient safety
• Track surgical supplies, properly dispose of sharps and biohazardous materials, and manage inventory needs
• Adhere to facility policies regarding social media and professional boundaries
• Accurately document care provided and report any concerns promptly to supervisory staff
