Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift, 6:45am5:15pm
  • Includes participation in call rotation, some holidays, and weekends as required
  • No block scheduling

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered nursing license with an ORT specialization
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma operating room; exact experience must be clearly noted in work history
  • High proficiency, as evidenced by a strong rating on a current skills checklist
  • Exceptional clinical and communication skills within a team-focused OR setting
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly-changing situations and prioritize urgent surgical needs

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and supporting surgeons and anesthesiology teams during operations
  • Prepare and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal safety and efficiency
  • Monitor patients status throughout procedures, responding promptly to any emergent needs
  • Accurately document interventions, observations, and patient outcomes per facility protocols
  • Participate in on-call rotations, weekends, and holiday schedules as needed while supporting seamless OR coverage
