Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) with a strong orthopedic focus in total joint procedures. This contract role is based in Lakewood, OH, within a reputable healthcare setting known for its commitment to high standards and quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include assisting in orthopedic total joint surgeries, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring seamless OR operations during day shifts. The schedule is five 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing for a consistent routine.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months recent Operating Room CST experience, with at least 18 months permanent OR CST experience prior to travel assignments
  • Strong orthopedic experience specifically in total joint procedures is mandatory
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by AHA or Red Cross and NBSTSA certification required
  • Recent Epic charting experience within the last six months
  • Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
  • Must provide one recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty area; charge RN references accepted
  • Flexibility to work at least every other holiday
