Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
  • Previous experience in a surgical setting is highly preferred
  • Proven knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Ability to anticipate needs of surgeons and surgical teams
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain sterile fields and ensure aseptic technique before and throughout procedures
  • Anticipate surgeon and team needs during surgical procedures for optimal workflow
  • Handle specimens properly and assist with dressing application and wound closure
  • Safely count instruments and sponges before, during, and after procedures
  • Assist with room turnover, restocking, and equipment maintenance as needed
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers for seamless patient care

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
