Schedule/Hours:
- 16-week assignment starting 05/11
- Rotating shifts
- 40 hours per week
This opportunity offers the perfect blend of rewarding, challenging work and the ability to explore new surroundings. The facility requires a highly skilled Operating Room Tech (ORT) with extensive hospital-based experience to support a high-acuity environment.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Surgical Technology/Operating Room Tech training program required
- Certification through Association of Surgical Technologists (NBSTSA CST or NCCT) preferred; non-certified candidates must show program completion
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Valid, up-to-date licenses and certifications at time of application and throughout contract
- Three or more years of recent, full-time staff ORT/CST experience in a Level 1 trauma center (500+ beds) prior to any travel assignments
- Demonstrated case experience in general surgery and orthopedic surgery (total joints required)
- Preferred experience in trauma, GYN, ENT, neuro, and cardiac cases
- Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days before start date
Responsibilities:
- Support operating room procedures with expertise and efficiency
- Assist with complex surgical cases, ensuring optimal patient safety
- Collaborate cross-functionally within a high-performing surgical team
- Maintain sterile field and follow strict infection control protocols
- Contribute to positive patient outcomes in fast-paced, high-volume situations
