In this role, you'll play a vital part in the operating room, providing exceptional perioperative patient care and functioning as a scrub assistant during operative and invasive procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as a scrub assistant, ensuring optimal support to physicians during surgical and invasive procedures
- Operate and manage specialized surgical equipment and instrumentation efficiently
- Follow perioperative protocols while maintaining strict adherence to patient safety and sterile field requirements
- Support Registered Nurses by anticipating needs and facilitating smooth procedure flow
- Demonstrate mentoring abilities as a resource and role model for less experienced staff
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or relevant Nursing ORT credentials
- Proven proficiency in the perioperative setting with strong technical and organizational abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate and function within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience operating equipment and handling instrumentation in surgery preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse cases and fast-paced environments
