Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist
• Strong background in moderate to high acuity surgical environments
• Knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
• Experience assisting in complex surgical cases and willingness to occasionally step up for even higher acuity procedures
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently plan and organize surgical cases
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to mentor, precept, or train others
• Commitment to patient safety and cultural awareness
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards preferred

Schedule:

• Call or late coverage may be required, depending on operational needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operative suite and surgical field, ensuring a compliant and safe patient care environment
• Diligently maintain the sterile field and monitor for safety throughout procedures
• Gather required instruments and supplies; anticipate the needs of the surgical team
• Assist with troubleshooting surgical instruments and equipment
• Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives
• Support additional perioperative areas as needed, including inventory, ordering, and stocking
• Uphold standards to ensure the unit remains compliant with regulatory requirements
