  • Call or late coverage may be required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgical team under the direction of a registered nurse, supporting safe and culturally responsive patient care
  • Prepare operative suites and maintain a sterile, safe surgical environment
  • Gather, organize, and troubleshoot necessary instruments and equipment
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and fellow team members for moderate to high acuity cases
  • Mentor and train others as needed, participating in performance improvement initiatives
  • Support inventory, ordering, and stocking duties in perioperative areas
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT)
  • Experience with moderate to high acuity surgical cases preferred
  • Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, instrumentation, and procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and adapt to evolving needs
  • Commitment to patient safety standards and quality care
