Bring your expertise in perioperative nursing to a dynamic environment where patient care is the top priority. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Nursing - ORT professional ready to support surgical teams and deliver safe, efficient care.
Key skills and experience:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or equivalent credentialing for Operating Room Technician
- Proven experience in operating room settings, with strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and aseptic techniques
- Ability to anticipate the needs of surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication abilities
- Proficiency in managing equipment and ensuring proper sterilization practices
- Commitment to patient safety and quality assurance protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and prioritize urgent patient needs
Schedule:
- Contract role, full-time hours as assigned
- Flexibility for variable shifts, including possible weekends or evenings
Role responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary surgical tools and supplies are available
- Assist surgeons and other team members throughout procedures, maintaining a sterile field and following infection prevention guidelines
- Monitor patient safety and respond quickly to changes in condition during surgery
- Communicate effectively with team members to relay any concerns or updates related to patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and supply usage
- Support post-procedure clean-up and equipment restocking
