Job Description

This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized perioperative care in a well-equipped surgical environment with a focus on robotics. The position is based in a Level II Trauma Center featuring 19 operating rooms and a range of surgical specialties including ENT, plastics, urology, bariatrics, gynecology, neuro, orthopedics, and cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate in the OR, assist with intubation/extubation, patient positioning
  • Operate and assist with DaVinci XI robotic surgical systems
  • Support ancillary tasks such as cleaning, managing supplies, and room turnover
  • Float between the Main OR and East Side surgical locations within the facility
  • Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of OR experience; first-time travelers considered upon review
  • Certifications: RN with BLS; Scrub Tech with CST and BLS; Anesthesia Tech with BLS
  • Proficiency in robotics (DaVinci XI) mandatory
  • Experience across multiple surgical specialties including ENT, minor vascular, endovascular, neuro, ortho, bariatrics, plastics, and urology
  • Ability to scrub, circulate, assist with sterile processing, and support anesthesia tech duties

Schedule and Work Environment:

  • Contract position with flexible schedules including potential holiday shifts; no weekend work required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Room turnaround and patient monitoring supported by anesthesiologists
  • Free on-site parking available
  • Orientation includes two 8-hour shifts on-unit
